Join me for a morning of Landscape Photography trip in beautiful Main Range National Park - Mount Cordeaux Section. This trip will give you the opportunity to up your Landscape photography skills and watch the sun rise from one of the highest peaks in the Scenic Rim. Professional photography guidance will be on hand to assist you in getting the best shots and capture the moment! This is a small group trip (max 6.) - we will be travelling together as a group and walking the trail together. We will start the hike at 5am sharp and walk up before first light to catch the sunrise at the top.

• Hike one of Brisbane’s most enjoyable day walks - the Mount Cordeaux Summit trail.

• Watch the sun rise from 1100m - one of the highest points in the Scenic Rim!

• Epic landscape photography opportunities - photograph blue hour and golden hour.

• Experience ancient Gondwana rainforest.

• Breakfast + coffee and group editing session.

What’s Included:

• Optional carpooling to/from Brisbane (pick up locations to be organised closer to the date)

• Guided walk to the summit of Mount Cordeaux in a small group

• Photography mentoring and assistance at the summit

• Group editing session and editing workshop post hike.

What you will learn:

• Understanding the basics of Landscape photography

• Basic settings - understanding aperture, shutter speed and ISO

• Reading a scene and the lighting

• How to shoot the various stages of a sunrise

• Composition and framing a winning shot

• Gear selection - what lens to use and when

What to bring:

• Camera body + Lenses

• Tripod (optional but useful)

• Water bottle

• Suitable enclosed shoes for hiking.

• Warm clothing

• Head lamp/torch

The details:

• This is a guided half day trip, with the option to carpool or the option to self drive. Transport to and from your organised pick up location will be provided and organised closer to the date. If you require further details you can contact me.

• This trip involves a 7km return hike - the Mount Cordeaux summit trail. The track is graded and is a relatively gradual climb. Some level of fitness is required, however it is not an overly difficult walk. Please indicate that you understand this and are comfortable with walking 7km.

• There are basic toilet facilities located at the trailhead. BYO drinking water.

• There is no phone reception at the trailhead, there is phone reception on the summit.

• After the hike we will reconvene at a local cafe for breakfast and editing.

About the Location:

Mount Cordeaux is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Brisbane and 2 hours from the Gold Coast. You will want to enter “Crest Carpark” into your GPS/Google Maps.

Transport from Brisbane/Gold Coast is available (on request), if required select this option when booking and I will be in touch to arrange a pick up location.

We will be meeting at Cunningham’s Gap Carpark (Crest Carpark) at the top of the range, on the right hand side as you come up the range. From Brisbane/Gold Coast, follow the Cunningham Highway towards Warwick - do not leave this road. Crest Carpark is on the right at the top of the range - it is well signposted however the turn comes up quickly so approach with caution. We will meet at the carpark to begin the hike at 5am sharp.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

• If for any reason you are no longer able to attend, you are able to cancel and receive a full refund up to 48 hours before the trip. Cancellation must be made in writing.

• No refunds are given for a no-show or for cancellation within 48 hours of the trip date.

• If the trip cannot go ahead for any reason (eg. poor weather) full refunds will be organised for all attendees.
