Want to learn how to take epic photos of the night sky? Want to capture the Milky Way in all it’s glory but not sure where to start? Well this is the workshop for you!

Saturday 4th September, 6pm - 9pm

Noosa National Park (Noosa Heads end)

This workshop is tailored to those new to astrophotography or wanting to expand their skills. We will start with a group briefing before exploring a few different locations and compositions within Noosa National park.

My workshops are run in small groups (max. 6 participants), so I am able to tailor my teaching and advice to the skill level of the individual and provide hands on advice to all participants!

What you will learn:

• Understanding the basics of astrophotography

• Resources to help plan your astro shoot and pick the right nights

• Basic settings - understanding aperture, shutter speed and ISO

• Gear selection

• Finding epic compositions and composing winning shots

• How to maximise the capabilities of your kit

During the workshop you will be able to ask me any questions you like and I will be happy to provide hands on advice! My workshops are a fun, relaxed and informal environment to learn photography and master your craft. Your ticket will also include an event recap and astrophotography guide which will be emailed out to you.

What should I bring to the event?

It is highly recommend to bring the following:

• DSLR Camera + Lenses, SD card and batteries - ESSENTIAL

• Tripod - ESSENTIAL

• Torch - ESSENTIAL

• Remote cable release (optional but can be quite useful)

• Water + snacks

• A smile and readiness to learn!

About the Location:

Noosa National Park is approximately 2 hours drive from Brisbane, 40 minutes from Maroochydore.

Carpooling from North Brisbane is available (on request), if required please message me, I will get in touch to arrange a pick up location.

We will be meeting at the Noosa Heads entrance of the National Park.

The park entrance is 1km from Hastings Street. When coming into Hastings Street, turn right at the first roundabout. From there, follow Park Road right to the end until you reach the car park at the bottom of the hill. We will be meeting at the shelter directly in front of the car park. Plenty of parking should be available at that time of day.

We will be walking through a National Park so good walking shoes are recommended.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

• If for any reason you are no longer able to attend, you are able to cancel and receive a full refund up to 48 hours before the workshop. Cancellation must be made in writing.

• No refunds are given for a no-show or for cancellation within 48 hours of the workshop date.

• If the event cannot go ahead for any reason (eg. poor weather or low attendance) full refunds will be organised for all attendees.
